Falafel

Ingredients

- 1 cup garbanzo beans

- 1 small onion

- 3 Cloves Garlic

- ½ tsp Salt

- 1 tsp Cilantro (fresh or dried)

- ½ tsp pepper

- 1 tsp Cumin

- 1 tsp baking soda

- ½ tsp baking powder

 

Preparation

- Soak the beans with some baking Soda overnight

 - Cut Onions, garlic and add to blender with cilantro

- Add salt & pepper

- Add garbanzo beans and blend all

- Take out of the blender and add cumin and mix until it looks like a dough

- Add baking soda and mix

- Add baking powder, mix again

- Scoop the mixture with an ice-cream scooper and make into balls – you can choose to bake them by placing them on a cookie sheet with Olive oil in the bottom or fry them (the healthier option is baking

Enjoy with veggies (tomatoes, parsley & pickles) and drizzle tahini sauce on top!
